I wrote a letter to the Evangelisches Pfarramt looking for information on my grandfather and got an answer telling me the name was not in their records. It also mentioned that in a 10 year census the name was not there. I am now wondering if it was possible that my grandfather was Catholic and if I should direct another letter to the same community but the Catholic church. Does the census they are speaking of refer to the Lutheran church only or is that a town thing? Can anyone answer my question? Peg
