    3. It's Kastel Stadt (city of Kastel). Katholisch is Catholic Church. You probably were looking at an extracted record found in IGI, were you? Taben is well know to me because that's one of my lines ending up there and I have FAHA in it. Trier is a catch all on many emigration records for many villages around Trier. Taben is southeast of Trier and Kastel is in Saarland, just across the border from Rheinland-Pfalz - short distance from Taben-Rodt (current spelling of the place -even through it is absurd that you can't pull it up on maps.expedia.com with Taben or Rodt or combination of them (!) On my Michelin map copy, it is there for all to see. W.
