Jim; For your infomation, in the mid 1840s a large contingent of Luxembourgers from Nospelt and other villages in Canton Cappellen, Luxembourg and their relatives from nearby Ettelbruck immigrated to the US. About half of them settled in the tiny villages of Alvada, New Riegel, and Frenchtown (the "Nospelt Ecke") in Big Spring Township, Seneca County, Ohio, and the other half, mostly the Ettelbruckers, settled in and around the nearby towns of Sandwich and Aurora, in La Salle and Kane Counties in Illinois. In most cases, you will see the same names in both locations; Gengler, Bonifas, Wagner, Schmidt, etc. Vincent Falter
