Karl-Heinz -- I can't help you with where these people settled in the U.S., but I think it is possible that we have common relatives. My great-great grandfather, Matthias ZWILLING of Wallenborn, married Eva Catherina SCHWICKERATH on Jul 15, 1865 in Wallenborn, and they had 5 children. She was the daughter of Nicolai SCHWICKERATH and Elisabeth SCHMITZ. After Matthias died, she married Johann Frederico PFLÜGER on Sep 24, 1881 and had 3 more children. So far, I have not found Eva Catherina's birth date or birth location, as neither appear in the Wallenborn church records during the appropriate time period. If I have my geography correct, Orsfeld is near Bitburg and Wallenborn is less than 20 km further up Bundesstraße 257. Do you recognize these people?
