    3. George -- You are correct... there are a lot of SCHWICKERATH's in Iowa, but I believe these folk come from a SCHWICKERATH family that came from Greimerath, Germany. Greimerath is about 30 km straight south of Trier, Germany, thus about 70 km south of Orsfeld. Charles Anton SCHWICKERATH Jr. of Sapulpa, Oklahoma has prepared a nice website documenting this family (see: http://www.uftree.com/UFT/WebPages/Schwickerath/default/) for details. Unfortunately, the site does not include the brothers that Karl-Heinz is interested in, nor does it contain my people. It is a hint on ancestors, though, for both of us, and may be a possibility for the descendants that Karl-Heinz is interested in.
