Hi List ! We found that our ancestor Johannes Tromp (also in the books as Trum and Trumm) was born on may 12 1766 in a place called Giebingen near Trier. Other sources call the place Gilbingen or Giblingen. Can someone shine a light over this as i am not able to trace those villages near Trier. Is it now perhaps a suburb of Trier or so ? greeting, Dick Trum
