I have SCHIWER,SCHIWELL in my genealogy.They came from Austria (Tirol)before 1760 and were stonecutter and stonemason. Under the reign of Maria-Theresia, many Austrians came to Luxembourg to work on churches etc. Please consult www.igd-leo.lu where you will find more information about the immigration from Austria and the emigration to the Banat.
