My son, the "not too interested in Geneaology" accountant type will be in Luxembourg (City) on business and promised to give me one day of legwork. Can anyone suggest the best ust of his time. Here's what I know: Mathias Steffen b Feb. 24th, 1832 somewhere in Luxembourg and Anna Assing b Nov 30 1830 in Wiltz, Luxembourg were married on Feb 12 1858 in Luxembourg, probably in Neider Wampach. The family was Catholic. They had 4 children between 1860 and 1871 and lived in Neider Wampach until they emigrated to Pennsylvania, USA via Antwerp in 1871. Mathias possibly made wine and/or was a carpenter. I am interested in finding out about siblings and parents of both Mathias and Anna as well as any written records of either.
