Hi: I have not seen the transcription the Miss DeBoe had done, however years ago I had transcribed the cemetery and added in the death records from the church thus making it complete as possible- There are three known Hoffman'Hoffmann families in the area- one is non-Catholic German, the other had roots in Scott Co., MN and I think they may have been from the Dollendorf, Germany area or tied into it somehow. The third was a Hoffman that lived in Hastings and were from the Kehlen, Luxembourg area. The family was somewhat prominent, but I do not think any members of that family were buried at the Catholic Cemeteries outside of Hastings- they were buried at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery( a book on that cemetery is in th making). Hoffman is such a common name that there are undoubtedly others in the area that I do not know of. So, it may not help you too much as I don't know of any Hoffman stones with origins on them and I have transcribed close to 40 cemeteries in the area over the years-and I spent a lot of time on the New Trier Cemetery trying to locate close to 500 unmarked graves!!
