Hello This is my first time on a list. My ancestors KRAMER and VOLTZ came with a group of glassmakers from Karlsbrunn nd Fishbach, Saarland to Philadelphia in 1773, to Manheim, Pa., to Fredrick, Md, and then to Greensboro and New Geneva, Pa., where they opened a glasshouse, Gallatin and Kramer. . The Kramers had a glasshouse in Karlsbrunn, Saarland (Nassau-Saarbrueken) from about 1723 - 1773. My ancestor, Johann Baltzer KRAMER , was born there in 1749 to Johann Adam Kramer and Elizabeth Stenger, as were siblings Martin, George, and Adam, who also came to the U.S. at the same time. There were also Voltz, Reppert, and Eberhardt families in the group. The Eberhardts had a glasshoue in Fishbach, and had emigrated from Budingen and Brietenborn in Hesse. There were also Kramers there , but I have found no one there from my direct line. Where did my Kramers and Stengers live before Karlsbrunn? I have tried to find Lutheran (Evangelical) records in Karlsbrun, but found only Catholic, and after my families left. Where did they go for baptisms, marriages, etc.? The FHC lists several books that have Karlsbrunn records, but they do not lend books. I would truly appreciate any help.. Carol
