Thanks to all who responded and loudly proclaimed that yes, Sally is indeed a diminutive name for Sarah. Most thought I was slightly daft for not knowing this, but I'm 66 years old and I swear I never knew a Sarah called Sally. You've straightened me out on this. Please call off the dogs! Don Hickman
