Hi, Just came back from an exciting day at the Wisconsin State Historical Society. I found out my G-G grandmother was Katherine Thomas, born 21 June 1825, in Trier. Her parents were Anton and Anna Maria Schuster. On 21 April 1850, she married John (Johann) Thomas, although he had emigrated to the US in 1837, so he must have gone back to find a wife??? (my guess) They had a daughter Susanna in 1851 in Germany (so John was there for a year or two??), and emigrated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1852. By 1861, they were in Kenosha, Wisconsin. (I checked Germans to America, but couldn't find them.) First, is anyone out there related? (needle in the haystack genealogy approach) Second, any suggestions what I should do next? Thanks, Pat
