John and Josephine (KLOSE) STERN were both born in Germany. A daughter Catherine was born to them in 1853 in Sheeren, Luxemburg. Catherine married John B. HELZING. I don't know when they arrived in the U.S./IL but their daughter, Catherine was born in Chicago on 28 Feb 1881 and died on 16 July 1946. She had three sisters, Josephine who married a WEDEL, Tillie who married a LESSER and Marie who married a COLOSIMO. Catherine was married to John Francis PORZEL, date unknown but they had a son Francis Michael PORZEL who was born on 06 Jan 1920, in Illinois. He died on 27 Dec 1977 in Chicago Heights.
