Are there any list members who have done research on the Feulen, Niederfeulen, Mertzig, Niedermertzig and Oberfeulen LDS Microfilms? I would like to order microfilms from the area for Schiwal family research and need information about the numerous films series which exist for the area. The films appear to duplicate some information. Here are the series I've found: #0425015 - Nieder Feulen, Ober Feulen, Feulen, Nieder Mertzig, and Ober Mertzig Church register - Question - is this film for one parish church serving multiple villages or portions of several villages? #1351214 - Mertzig (1808-1810) Catholic Church Register (Item 1) #1980540,41 - Marriage Index Cards Feulen - Are these civil records? And there are other series also. Is there anyone who has researched this area and can recommend a good starting place. My family would have been in these villages at least during the 1750s.
