Kusel & Pirmasens, Rhenish Bavaria: Schneider, Schlick, Emrich, Abt. 1800 Ludwig Schneider m Josephine Schlick in Rhenish Bavaria near the Pirmasens-Kusel area. Their children included George Schneider, b. Dec 13, 1823, Pirmasens, who emigrated to the US in 1849, one step ahead of getting killed in the revolution, and established himself first in St. Louis (newspapers) and finnally in Chicago in newspapers and banking. His brother Christian Ludwig Schneider, b. probably before George, was a newspaper editor and publisher in the Kusel area, married Dorothea Emrich, they had at least two children together before both Christian and Dorothea died in about 1860-63 in Germany. Their 2 orphaned children, twins Otto Clarence and Lina, b. Dec 5, 1856, came to the US in 1870 to stay with family, probably though their uncle George. We have good biographical information on George Schneider. We have very good biographical and descendancy information on Otto Clarence Schneider, but the only things we know about his twin sister, Lina, was that she married Theodore Wassum/Wasem and lived in Evansville, Indiana. We have no additional information on Ludwig Schneider and his wife Josephine Schlick, or Christian Ludwig Schneider and his wife Dorothea Emrich. With this information can anyone help us track further information on Christian and Dorothea and Ludwig and Josephine and their families or ancestors in Rhenish Bavaria?
