Hi Russ, I had problems with your e-mail address, so I'm responding to the broader distribution list. (Sorry everyone!) I have been researching my HANSEN line which was briefly in Geichlingen. Having spent many hours with microfilm of the Catholic church records (late 1700s to mid-1800s) from this village, I can tell you that the name THEIS appears many times. Are you able to rent a copy of the tape from an LDS FHC? I think you would find it very helpful. As you probably know, old Catholic church records are all written in Latin, but they're not difficult to decipher if you can manage the handwriting! All the best, Deb
