Hello, I too have FRANZEN ancestors from the Trier area. My fourth great-grandfather was PETER FRANZEN, who was born between January 1770 and January 1771. He and his father, who I believe was Nicholas FRANZEN left Trier in the early 1780s and migrated to the Banat region of what was then Austria/Hungary and today is in Romania. Other siblings of Peter may have been Anna Marie, Conrad, Agnes, Heinrich, Michael Jacob and Johann. The family may have been from Betring, Morscheid or Grosslittgen. Has anyone come across these names in this timeframe? Rick Franzen
