In reviewing the church records and family book for RUWER, there are references to many persons from Mertesdorf of St. Michael's. Particularly in the marriage note. Is that the name of the Catholic church in Mertesdorf? Or is referring to a nearby place? Jay Wilpolt

Was wondering if anyone researching in the TRIER area has come across the name LENGER--or Langer (umlat above the "a")? My ggggrandfather married Elizabeth GLESIUS in or around the Trier area Abt. 1834. Her parents were: Bartholomew Glesius and Katherine (I don't know her maiden name). She was born October 28, 1814 in or around the Trier area. She married Christian Lenger (born January 10, 1810-also born in the Trier area). His parents were C.
