These ancestors of mine supposedly came from Merzig: Michael BECKER was born in 1773 in Germany and died there in 1846; he was 73. He was a farmer and Roman Catholic. Michael married Angeline STRUPP, in Germany. She was born in 1784 and died in Dover Twp, Racine County, WI, USA in 1854, at age 70. They had the following children: Peter (11 Nov 1820 - ?), John, Margaret (She was a Roman Catholic nun.), and five other children. Peter and all or most of the other children went with Angeline to the US ca 1847 (after Michael's death). Would like to find out more about Michael and Angeline, their children (especially those 5 mysteries), and which ones actually did come to the US. Any information - from actual lookups to addresses where I could write - would be greatly appreciated.
