Deutsch (english version below): Hallo, ich wollte Euch nur informieren, daß ich die Struktur meiner Homepage geändert habe und unter der Adresse: www.awest.de/Privat/Ahnenforschung/Index.html meine Ahnenforschung und deren Resultate veröffentlicht habe (mehr als 5700 Personen aktuell). Bitte aktualisiert Euren Eintrag wenn ihr bereits einmal vorbei geschaut habt. Kommentare und Anregungen sind jederzeit willkommen, ich habe jetzt auch eine Schritt für Schritt Anleitung für den Umgang mit dem Dynamic Family Tree, mit dem ich meine Daten veröffentliche, als Hilfe veröffentlicht. Außerdem gibt es eine Liste meiner Spitzenahnen (alle toten Punkte meiner Forschung), eine ca. 2 MB große Ortsliste mit allen Namen (ca. 140 Seiten), eine Namensliste und einen Namensindex aller erfaßten Nachnamen. Ich möchte außerdem darauf hinweisen, daß ich alle Namensvorkommen von WEST und seine Variationen (WESTIN, DE WEST, TE WEST) in Deutschland erfasse. Für Hinweise, Daten über Personen, die in Deutschland gelebt haben und noch nicht erfaßt sind, bin ich sehr dankbar. Bisher habe ich nur Daten aus dem Ancestral File und dem IGI der Mormonen erfaßt, sowie Kriegsgefallene, aber auch Auswanderer aus Deutschland, welche ich durch Zufall gefunden habe. Diese Webseite wird regelmäßig auf den neuesten Stand gebracht, bitte speichert die Adresse und besucht sie mal wieder. I'd like to point out too, that I'm trying to collect all persons with the surname WEST and it's variations (like WESTIN, DE WEST, TE WEST) that once lived in Germany. If you have any information regarding persons with these surnames which are currently not in my database, it'd be glad to receive them. So far I have added data from the Ancestral File and the IGI of the Mormons, persons who died in the act of WWI and WWII, as well as some emigrants from Germany which I found by chance. Hello, I've changed my database for places in Germany. I've splitted the field "Literatur" to "Literatur" and "Archive" (literature,archives), also I append a field for "Geschichte" (history). I've filled this field with data for "Kreis Merzig-Wadern" and "Kreis St. Wendel". (short history about a few lines for each place) The database also include the following fields Ort PLZ Gemeinde Kreis Regierungsbezirk Bundesland Breite Laenge place zip municipality district government area?? state latitude longitude You can search thru all fields for example to find Mettlach insert mettlach at the ort(place) field. If you insert search data into two fields it will be searched for field1 AND field2. Often you can find more than one entry for the same place, but with different data for literature,archives and history. you find the database at: http://www.rolf.sytes.net:8011/myphp/index.php Ofcourse it is possible for you to change the entries, for example if you want to add data to literature,archives and/or history. If you enter history data (you can enter english text) append it to the text in the field and don't forget also to append the source, where you found the history.
