    3. Hello Ann, thanks a lot. As usual, the familyname has changed in spelling. With your help I could find them in the 1880 census at familysearch in Chilton, Calumet, WI. Matthias Georges with his children Katie, Lizzie, Joseph and John, meanwhile born in WI. 3. I live near Elkhart Lake, WI which is the County adjoining the Town of Russell. Although there is a Catholic Church in the Village of Elkhart Lake, I do not believe it is that old. Probably the church for the Town of Russell is in the Village of St. Anna, which is on the boarder with Calumet County and only about 10 miles south of Chilton. There are several Catholic churches in Sheboygan, but that is at least 25 miles east of Russell, a far distance to travel in those days. The Catholic church in St. Anna has been there for many years. 2. Thank You, should explain to all I do have the ship records. The Schmidts on that ship are our family also. I am specifically looking for any information that connects them with their family in the Hunsrueck area. Even though both our families are laced through and through with each others names, there seems to be lapses in records from the 1800's. And I have just not found their own church records with their parents names. I knew about the Mergen bookand that they were in it, but thought perhaps Mergen would document where the information came from. So now, I will see if I can find a copy in the area to look at. Thanks to all. marge ----- Original Message ----- From: "and1stp" <and1stp@wi.rr.com> To: <trier-roots@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, October 31, 2006 5:43 PM Subject: Re: [TRIER-ROOTS] Page 235 in Book: MERGEN, Josef Die Auswanderungen aus............ 1987 > >From Ancestry.com via Steve Morse.com , the page to the manifest you are > >looking for. > > http://content.ancestry.com/Browse/view.aspx?dbid=7488&path=1864.3.Magdalena.2&sid=&gskw=&cr=0 > > > John from Milwaukee > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > TRIER-ROOTS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message --- http://USFamily.Net/dialup.html - $8.25/mo! -- http://www.usfamily.net/dsl.html - $19.99/mo! ---
