Hi ! I'm looking for MOLITOR history. People in my country says that they came from TRIER or some vilage near, around 1820. Does someone knows something about it ? Where can I find documents about Germany people that went to Brazil the first years of 18th century ? Thanks! Antonio Molitor da Silva Tatuí- Brazil

It was about ten years ago that I was looking at church records for St. Lawrence the Martyr Cath. Church in Waldrach and I remember seeing the name MOLITOR quite a lot. It turns out that they did not seem to fit in with my family, but I still remember that after all this time. Waldrach is a small town in the Landkreis (County) of Trier as well as in the Archbishopric (Diocese) of Trier, and is only a few kilometers straight east. You can probably order the microfilm if you have a Mormon Church Family History Center nearby. One of my ancestral names includes Trierweiler, and there is a man in Brazil with that name that I've corresponded with. If you'd like, I'll send you his e-mail address privately. Are there any other names from that area that you're looking at? Regards, Joe

I have Meyers relatives from Waldrach, a few kilometers straight east of Trier. Good luck with your search.
In July of 1848 Hubert FROST arrived in New York City Harbor from Körperich, Germany. He stopped in Racine Co, WI, eventually settling in Black Hawk Co, Iowa. Stateside search reveals nothing as there is a gap in information for that year of ship arrivals. I need to know who traveled with him. I do not know what port he left from. Körperich is on the Luxembourg border. Does someone have a suggestion on what my next step might be? Thank you. Agnes MN/WI
I hope someone can help, many of my relatives are from the Trier area, but I have come across one family from a town called Hedingreb, in Westphalia. Since I cannot find a Westphalia group, maybe someone here can help. The problem is I cannot find a town called Hedingreb. Any suggestions on where I might look? Thanks Jay

Mark -- Yes, it still exists and is about 12 km east-southeast of the center of the city of Luxembourg, Luxembourg. I have relatives who lived there at one time or another (but that holds true for just about every city in southern Luxembourg!). William Ennis Kellen DOB 1827 (unknown where) DOD Nov,1878 William Ennis Kellen is my gg grandfather, first known presence was 1840 baptism in Sacred Heart Church in Waverly, Kentucky (which is located in Union County in Western, Kentucky near Henderson, Kentucky and Evansville, IN. I can find no records on his birth place or parents. He married a Bowles in 1848 in Kentucky, and remarried Charity Ann Griggs in Shawneetown, IL in 1851, William Ennis had no sponsors at his baptism, indicating he may have been an orphan. Does anyone have information on Kellen migration to Western Kentucky in 1800 to 1840 era? Thanks/regards. Mike Kellen

I'm trying to confirm the wife's name of a John Peter Beitzel married 2/4/1799 in Krov. A marriage is listed in church records showing a Anna Margaretha whose parents are listed as John Vogt and Anna Gertrude Mosler from Kinheim. We could not find a birth for Anna Margaretha with same parents. However, we found an Susanna Margaretha born to these parents. Would the civil record give birth date or parents names? Thank You, Lauri
