Budke's "Historical Miscellanies" published in 1923 in NYC. You should go there and take notes or photocopy pages related to the Tremper/Trumper families in Rockland Co. Other references are "History of Rockland County, NY"(1884) by Rev. David Cole D.D.which has an appendix, indexed, listing Baptisms at Tappan and Clarkstown with the original surnames. Again, Tremper, Trumper, Tromper and Trimper would all be the same family. JOHN J. TRUMPER, b. 16 July 1794 was a farmer. He was the 9th child of Tunis/Theunis Trumper (1850) and Anna Catrina Snyder (1851) He married on 8 Aug 1818 at Greenbush Presby. Ch, MARY BAKER, b. 27 Feb 1799 in NY, d. 12 Jan 1856. This couple were buried at the Snyder Cemetery in Valley Cottage, Rockland Co, NY which may no longer exist. (Check records of Oak Hill Cemetery in Nyack to see if perhaps they were re-interred there.)They had 7 children, as you noted. JOHN J. TRUMPER b. 3 Jan 1783 who m. Eliza Bell was a brother of Harmon Trumper b. 3 Jan 1783, the shoemaker who married Eliza Bell. Another brother of John J. Trumper and Harmon Trumper is JOHANNIS/JOHN T. TRUMPER, b. 31 July 1773 at Tappan, Rockland Co. a farmer and shoemaker who d. after 1860, and his wife AELGJE/AALTJE GERRITSEN, b. ca 1774 d, 1860-1865. The had 8 children, lived in Clarkstown. They werer married 15 March 1796 at either Tappan Reformed Dutch Church or in Clarkstown RDC. The parents of John J., Harmon and Johannis/John T.Trumper are TEUNIS/THEUNIS T. TREUMPER (1750-ca 1824) and ANNA CATRINA SNYDER (1751-ca 1798), who had 7 children total. Teunis' parents were HERMANNUS TREMPER, B. 5 July 1718 at Neuwied, Germany, and ANNA ELISABETHA FELTEN, b. 10 May 1750, baptised 3 June 1750 at Hackensack RDC, Hackensack, Bergen Co, NJ.
