Her parents were John Tremper and Margaret Jane Smith (whose parents were from Scotland). Ella married Clarence Dewight (or Dwight) Cortright. Together they had 9 children. Ella died in 1945 in Rochester, NY. I have found mention of Jacob Tremper and Margaret Tremper in Wayne County, but no Ella or her parents.

I would just like the information and not the album, if you cld send the info as attachments for my computer to print them out. I do have a lot of records on families who lived at Pt. Salubrious in Jefferson Co., including Hortons and Warners. We went up to Watertown, NY and did considerable research in the county clerk's office and surrogate's court there, as well as the Flower Memorial Library genealogy and local history room. The latter has quite a lot on Hortons, including a huge chart someone did that links all the early Horton settlers to those living in the early 1900's. I took information off that chart, and I did pursue Hortons because one named Almira/Elvina Horton married a Hermanus Tremper and they lived up in Jefferson Co. just before he died, in hospital in Kingston, Ontario. Do you have an Almire/Elmira Horton linked to her parents? I never could find out who they were. Priscilla

It is about 41/2 by 6 '' nd 2 inches thick. the album pages are gilded in gold, on the outside edges. There are no photo's but the pages have the Warner, Horton, Rogers, Tremper Calhoun names and the associations such as Grandma Tremper [uncle Warners grandma. Aunt Leah Tremper Horton. Each name has the association of that person to the family. In the back are 4 pages of newspaper clippings on these people. Most are death notices.. Some of the names are Ralph Rogers Auntie Warners father Aunt Eliza Rogers her mother and Grandpa Hortons sister. Honor Jane Warner Johnnie Tremper, Arrietta Tremper. There are 29 names listed on the pages. I have $50.00 in the album. It has no clasp. but otherwise great shape for being over 100 yrs old. It would probably be about $4.00 to ship media mail. I am glad you emailed when you did If I hadn't heard by the first of May I was going to re do the pages to use for my self. I just hated to se! e the information lost to a family memberwho would like to have the album with the information written by a didtant relative. I have Warner relatives from Ny state. that is why I bought it. But it is not my line as far as I can see. We have a album from the 1800's from my husbands mothers people and we treasure it. I wouldn't take a $1,000.00 for it. If you just want the information and not the album I will send attachments to your home computer. Just send me your email address. Jean

Yes, I have records of this Tremper family, pretty extensive ones! If you will send me an email msg at <[email protected]> I can send you a lot of details. Briefly, Jacob Tremper and Sybil (whose birthname I'd never had until now) went to Michigan. They had a very large family. Jacob came from Alexandria Bay in Jefferson Co., very nr the Canadian border, and he was a farmer. I picked up a lot of information over many years about Jacob and Sybil's children, grandchidlren, etc. I also have Jacob's ancestors... which nobody else probably has... because it is extremely hard to find any records on them all! They are from Delaware Co, Ulster Co, and earlier from New York City, NY. Priscilla
