Collyer (1851) who married Anna Estelle Tremper (1849), I can find no such person as Anna Estelle Tremper born 1849 either living in Rockland Co. NY or anywhere. We have Tremper records collected fr all over the U.S. from their arrival in NYC about 1721, and all the descendants of the original immigrants, Johan Jacob Tromper and his wife Anna Christina Welcker and their 5 sons up thru the 1930 US Census and more. Our records have been gathered since about 1975 from numerous sources, some by traveling to county seats across the country. I've found no Anna Estelle or Anna or Estelle who fits the description. Closest person I've found is an "Enna", who should be Emma, Tremper born 1848 to William Perry Tremper and his wife Sarah J. ___ of Clarkstown, Rockland Co. They are in the 1860 US Census and also 1850 US Census. William was b. either 1841 or 1825 and was a laborer. Emma had a twin named Agnes. We have no more data on Emma, just Agnes. So, by 1870 she could possibly have married and then changed her given name to Anna Estelle.. if you want to pursue that possibility. Brian's messages of 15 Aug are correct. #1 Rachel A. Trumper, b. 1843, dau of CORNELIUS TRUMPER (1812) and HANNAH MARIA KNAPP (1814) who lived in Rockland Lake/Clarkstown, Rockland Co. #2 Rachel Ann Tremper married William Scank on 28 Sept 1859 in Nyack, and then betw 1860 and 1877 they had 9 children. From records of descendants, not Brian, sent to me about 20 yrs ago, #2 is a daughter of JACOB J. TREMPER (1802) and CATHERINE GOETCHIUS (1806), who were married in 1825 and lived in the Rockland Lake area/Clarkstown, had 8 children, including Andrew Jackson Tremper (1833), George W. Tremper (1838) and Eliza Louisa Tremper (1841). They lived at Stagg's Corner, just N. of what is now New City and west of Rockland Lake. John J. was a shoemaker. After Catherine died, he re-married Sarah A. ___ and they had 6 more children! Rachel #2 is the one who married William I. Scank. Rachel #1 must therefore be the person who married Charles Nelson Felter. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. The October 13, 1859 edition of the Rockland County Messenger lists Rachel Ann Tremper marrying William Scank on Sep 28, 1859 in Nyack. Rachel and William had 9 children from 1860 to 1877, so it doesn't seem that the same Rachel could have had a child with Charles Felter in 1868. Thank you! I now believe your Rachel Ann, b. 1843 in Rockland Lake is Rachel Ann TRUMPER,daughter of Jacob J. Trumper and Catherine Goetchius. I have her exact birth date as 15 Nov 1843 from another Tremper researcher back in 1997. Jacob J. Trumper was born 12 Aug 1802 in Rockland Co and died betw 1875 and 1880. Catherine Goetchius was born 14 Jan 1806 and died 12 May 1847. I have their ancestors if you wish to contact me directly at islpris at verizon.net. Catherine Goetchius and Jcob J. Trumper had 8 children: Garret A. (1825), Edward J. (1828), William Eugene (1831), Andrew Jackson (1833), George W. (1838), Eliza Louisa(1841), and Rachel Ann (1843). Jacob J.
