I am always so thrilled when there's anything new on my Treadways. As I'm sure I told you, being that I'm from Pennsylvania and my paternal grandmother from Tennessee, I know next to nothing of her family. However, I have maintained a close relationship with second cousins of mine who live in Bristol, so that helps. I've always had a very deep desire to learn more of my grandmother. How I wish she would have talked more of her family. She just didn't. I'm sure there's a very good reason for it but I'm not sure I know why. I have a pretty good idea. I believe she married my grandfather a little too soon after the end of the Civil War and her people weren't too forgiving. At any rate, she was a terrific grandmother and a very loving one, too. I still miss her terribly and was always so thankful for all the time I was able to spend with her. I had the greatest parents and grandparents, and had both sets of grandpa! rents until 1954 when my paternal grandmother passed away. She had a stroke. Again, Claudia, thanks so very much for your willingness to help me. I am anxiously looking forward to hearing more from you. Cheers, LuAnn (Dent) Everitt
