Well if everyone is like me, they are up against a brick wall... still haven't found the parents of our Percilla (Priscilla) Treadway born 1799 and married Jonathan Wesley Woody, Sr. Migrated from North Carolina to what became Lumpkin County, Georgia. Many articles have been written about Percialla - she was a mid-wife and literally the only doctor around for decades in that part of North Georgia... she was said to have been half Cherokee. Some have listed her father as John Treadway but no other information - another states that Percilla's mother is only listed as "Crutcher" or some other spelling on census information. A descendant claims that Percilla's mother's name was Judith Cruthers or Crutcher. Was Percilla an only child?
