    2. Perhaps I can help with the one mystery. Yes, it was a usual "tradition" when the first spouse died even if the surviving spouse remarried to be buried next to the first spouse. For instance, my great grandmother lost her first husband in an accident. Several years later, she remarried a local widower. He died first and was laid to rest next to his first spouse. When Granny died, we laid her next to her first husband. Back during that time, second marriages tended to be more out of convenience rather than love. Anita McClung Fayette County, WV </HTML>
