I haven't read you posting about the murder. I'm trying to help a friend find his grandfather, Charles Treadaway (note different spelling) who left his family never to be heard from again. This Charles was born in Texas (maybe) ca 1895, moved to Jefferson County, Al, married and had a son, divorced wife and disappeared. Word had it that he ended up in Montgomery, AL, but no one really knows. I haven't found him on any census so far. Wouldn't it be interesting if he happened to be the same Charles.
