We're looking for information about a Johnny Treadway/Treadaway, who may have fathered a child in or near Burlington (Alamance County) North Carolina, in 1948. It is said that he left the mother, Ruby Marcum, either just before or after the birth of her little girl, Rebecca. He's said to have gone to California. All of this information is purely anecdotal. We aren't sure whether or not they were ever married, but we think not. We don't know how old Johnny Treadway may have been. If he's still living, we aren't interested in contacting him -- we only want to find some information about Rebecca's ancestral family.
