I am looking for information about Dewitt Maynard Treadway, born around 1820 in New York State. Dewitt Maynard and his brother Peter Hayden, their sister/cousin Hannah Almira and sister/cousin Orange Maria were brought to the Shakers at Water-vliet in 1823 by Reuben Treadway who was either their father or uncle. He left Watervliet, married Lucy, and had one child, Isadora, and eventually settled in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri, where he died in 1888.
