She was born November 10, 1917 in Lowell, OHIO a daughter of the late Virgil and Nettie DeMent Treadway. She moved to the Roseville, Ohio area around 1920. She retired from Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery after 20 years of service. Ellen was a wonderful cook, best known for her sugar cookies and pies. She loved quilting, sewing, was an avid farmer and gardener, and her home was always welcome to any stray animal. Ellen was a great mother, grandma, great grandma, and great great grandma to her family. She married the late Carl F. Milner in 1937 and together had three children, Donald "Dan" (Lois) Milner of Blue Rock, Ohio Carl "Sonny" Milner Jr. and Donna (David) Miller both of Roseville, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Wade (Dena) Milner, Brian (Susan) Miller, Randy (Teresa) Milner, Shelly (Dave) Gonda, Scott Milner, Jamey (Larry) Brassfield, Sheila Dailey, Chrystal (David) Reed and Brenda Milner; 17 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren Calling hours will be held 5-8 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2012 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 33 MAIN ST., ROSEVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday April 17, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Wes Kidwell officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
