If you get this message, contact me again. I can give you a short history now, but I do have more, I think it even includes a letter from Alpha to my father. I can tell you this: I have our lineage from when the Treadways came here from England, to the present. When you contact me, I will give you more. My father was really into the family geneology, and kept alot of records. My father is a half brother to Walker Preston Jr. Look forward to hearing from you. 2. Anita McClung
    3. Hello all -   Last night while looking at my Giles County, Marriages 1806-1850 book, I came across the following marriage:   Mary TREDWAY to Ephram Stanford, May 11, 1816. Bondsman - Josiah Porterfield   It has long been thought that the Treadways/Tredways that inhabit both Fayette and Raleigh Counties in West Virginia were from Giles County, VA. Interesting enough, but this is the only  Treadway/Tredway marriage (male or female) in this book.   Does anyone have any insight as to who this Mary might be? Any information will be greatly appreciated.   Anita McClung Fayette County, West Virginia Gr-gr-great granddaughter of Jesse Treadway and Mahala Johnson
