I know my grandparents and my cousins, that's all. I do know a little about my dads side. As I was looking through the threads, I saw a few posts that my grandma, Sally Jo Rasmussen had wrote about four years ago. She wrote about my dad and his relationship with his dad, my grandpa I never met. Sadly, my grandma Sally passed away this sept. 2012. She was really the only one who told me some of my family history. I have two older sisters, Erin and Marla, and since I'm the youngest, I'm the last Treadway. My great grandma Nancy, and my dads brother are the only ones I knew/know of my dads side of the family. I've been always trying to find more about our family history so if you have any knowledge about my side, please let me know. I believe that I have an answer for you. According to the 1840 census of Fayette County, WV - Oak Hill, William was the son of Fred Treadway and Hollie WILSON. They were married in Fayette County on Dec. 23, 1930 at Dothan in Fayette County. In this same census is a son, David whom I found a death certificate for which verified their names. Fred Treadway was the son of William Leonard Treadway and Mary Ingram. They were married on Sept. 15, 1897 in Fayette County. William was the son of Leonard Treadway and his 2nd wife, Elizabeth Gibson. They were married on March 12, 1855. Leonard was the son of Jesse Treadway and Mahala Johnson. I was correct, this is my Treadway line. Leonard was a brother to my 2nd great grand grandpa, William Treadway who married Nancy Bibb. "Pete" Treadway, for my girlfriend, who is his great granddaughter. I just learned today that he had four wives, though possibly only three. He also had two children out of wedlock. He was born 18 Aug 1913 in Mongomery Kentucky to Allie Treadway and Elizabeth R Brock, and died 15 Aug 1944 in Cottesmore, Rutland, England, when his parachute malfunctioned during post D-Day training. He is listed twice in the 1940 census, because he was in jail! Quite a character! I think this Arthur Charles Treadway from Texas was not the same man.
