I have been off and on the internet for some time. I lost 2 computers due to crashes, the first had all of my genealogy in it, then I lost my home, etc. There is a lot more to the story, so if you would like to know more, please let me know. I do my best to get information out to everyone, for free, and I do this when I can, as I have a 40 + hour a week job. So, am sorry if I have offended you. Randy

The reason I ask you for this is because my Grandmother Dent was a Treadway and only recently did I learn she had many brothers - 8. She was a "transplant" from Tennessee to Pennsylvania and never spoke much of her family. I have a list of her brothers but know virtually nothing of them or their descendants. If you could provide me with this information I may be able to help you. Good luck in your search. LuAnn (Dent) Everitt You can also contact me by using my email address: [email protected]

It is said that he left the mother, Ruby Marcum, either just before or after the birth of her little girl, Rebecca. He's said to have gone to California. All of this information is purely anecdotal. We aren't sure whether or not they were ever married, but we think not. We don't know how old Johnny Treadway may have been. If he's still living, we aren't interested in contacting him -- we only want to find some information about Rebecca's ancestral family. We'd also like to procure a birth certificate for Rebecca. If anyone has facts or speculation that should remain private, I can be reached at my email address -- [email protected] -- and you may be assured that I will respect any request for confidentiality.
