    1. [TRANSYLVANIA] LUPINI
    2. Wendy Moohin via
    3. I am interested in the LUPINI surname. My great grandfather arrived in Australia in 1902. He came from Segesvar in Hungary now Sighişoara, Romania, I found some burial records on radix for the same surname, but couldn't make a connection with the information contained in the notice. He was an analytical chemist and his father with the same name was a magistrate. Are there any records for people with these professions? It is believed he could speak 7 languages. His name - Friedrick LUPINI born 1867, died Mackay Qld Australia 1937. Hoping there is someone with a connection or information to enable me to further research this family. Thanks, Wendy

    3. I would be interested in knowing what resources are available for researching my family from the area of Arad & Semlec. My grandmother's and her three daughters' names are incorrectly identified by the Ellis Island immigrant resource (arrival 1910); the record has been "amended" by me as correcting it is not an option. My grandfather whose arrival preceded theirs is yet to be found in any records--I expect his departure was not through legal channels as he had "gone over the fence" (my grandmother's description of his awol from the A/H cavalry). Any suggestions would be welcome Carol Smith Milwaukee, WI ________________________________ On Behalf Of marlo50@bex.net Sent: August 6, 2013 7:51 AM To: transylvania@rootsweb.com Cc: KOCS Janos - ROM; KOCS Janos - ROM; KOCS Janos - ROM Subject: Re: [TRANSYLVANIA] Transylvania Janos Kocs,  Your name was suggested to me for some help.
