    3. And it may be that she just decided to use another name. My great-grandmother's name was Amanda Sarah Jane, but I have not seen that on any paper work from 1900 and after for her. For awhile she used "Desa," and then went to "Dulcie." The grandson of her oldest child said that his grandfather was supposedly named "Vivian" (yes, on the spelling for a male child) because he was "full of life." Since "Dulcie" means sweet in Latin, I figured she must have been on a Latin kick. And despite disagreement on the list about Lurancy being a form of Urania, I am convinced that they are the same person.
