Hi all! I am looking for members of Generation Y as well as Generation X (so basically those born about 1970 or late 60s on) to participate in a survey about in a nutshell why are you interested genealogy, what made you get started, if family history was discussed growing up, etc. Some of the questions will not apply to those on this list as they are geared to those with no interest and those who have interest but have not yet started. The data from this survey well serve as touchpoints for a book I am working on. I may also take the raw data and share it with the genealogy community in the form of a blog or article as I feel this information could be very enlightening for the genealogy community as a whole. If you are interested please respond, I want to send the survey out this weekend. Thanks in advance! Kassie Nelson Cedar Tree Genealogy www.cedartreegenealogy.com http://cedartree.blog.com
Kassie Nelson, I would love to participate in a survey and yes I was born in the late 70's. I wonder if there was any difference between those who were unable visit their grandparents often compared to those who could. I know in my instance my grandparents lived in another state and we only visited usually about twice a year or so when I was younger. Actually I would love to see the results. Thank you, Amy -----Original Message----- From: Kassie Nelson Sent: Tuesday, February 5, 2013 6:48 PM To: TGF Mailing List Subject: [TGF] Gen Y & Genealogy Hi all!
