    3. Dave, I am so sorry to hear about the problems you had with the toolbar. I should have stated that I am using IE8 and there were several items (those pesky extras that always seem to come along with free downloads) that I had to skip or say no to (and I did not download anything other than the toolbar); I also told it not to change my home page. Luckily, I didn't encounter any freezes during the download process, so I guess I was lucky. I have been using the toolbar today and still find it useful for me, especially since my favorites list has gotten unruly. I have heard so many stories about problems with IE9 that I just haven't gone to it yet. I wonder if the download problems have anything to do with the IE version? -----Original Message----- From: transitional-genealogists-forum-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:transitional-genealogists-forum-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Dave Robison Sent: Saturday, February 02, 2013 3:51 PM To: transitional-genealogists-forum@rootsweb.com Subject: [TGF] Relatively Curious Toolbar I feel compelled to share my experience! What have I done wrong??? I use IE 9 almost exclusively. Based on the recommendation here at TG, I downloaded the "free" software. I expected the usual game of attempted me to mistakenly download other "piggy-back" programs which I thought I had avoided. Once it downloaded, the installation process went well until a window popped up asking me to change the search defaults..recommended.. which I didn't want to do. I clicked past that and then another window opened once again asking me to choose. But I could because the whole thing froze. I waited a reasonable amount of time then used Task Manager to shut off the browser. Because of the difficulty with the installation, I figured it wasn't worth the grief. I uninstalled Relatively Curious. Upon re-opening the browser, my home page was changed. WOW! So, any ideas about "What have I done wrong???"
