I need help to determine the court which would have heard and decreed on the behalf of the Governor....at least as it's stated. The action against the defendants resulted in a sheriff's sale in Jefferson County, GA as recorded in a Louisville, GA newspaper dated 1803. Louisville was the capital of the state at the time.
