Holly, I discovered when doing the source citations assignment for the ProGen Study Group that the Fold3 library edition, which I was using at the time, didn't have some of the records that were available through individual subscription. I had had my own subscription earlier and returned to it for that reason. Which paid sites you use will depend on the focus of your research. FindMyPast is worth the subscription if you do British Isles research. I'm interested to know how those who have a subscription to MyHeritage compare it to the other major sites. Lesley K. Message-ID: <CAE2B1=cvAjfsHU5FoRHugAsGA=--_aHxD392m666L9K-L9Katg@mail.gmail.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" I have been doing my own genealogy for 20+ years, but am just now starting to do research for friends to see if I like it. I have a subscription to Ancestry which comes with the basic newspapers.com. I can get Fold3 at the library. I know there are several other subscription databases out there. Which ones do you get the most use out of? I know it depends totally on the time and place, etc, but in general which subscriptions do you pay for on a regular basis? Fold3? GenealogyBank? It seems a little hard to keep up with them because they change so much over time and some of them have a lot of duplication. Thanks, Holly Hebert
