I will be doing a presentation on the unindexed FamilySearch databases for our local library. I've been really excited about doing this presentation, but then I got to thinking about the jillions of screen shots I'll be doing if I don't do it live. I'd love to do it live, but I know that I run the risk of the internet either being out or being slow. Even if I did it live, I would walk through every step beforehand to make sure that I could minimize wasted steps in jumping around the images. Any words of wisdom from anyone who has done this before? My third thought on the matter was that even though I would have to do a lot of screen shots the verbiage to go with is pretty minimal. Patti
I'm do screen shots for all my presentations and only go live in the questions section if I know that the internet is going to be okay. If you only do a live presentation and then have an issue with the internet then you are stuck. I also make sure that I have my presentation on my laptop and also on a memory stick (with a backup on the Cloud) as it depends on the projector age as to whether or not you can just plug your laptop in and go or have to use the technology in the room.
