During my absence, I would appreciate if all subscribers followed the established guidelines of the List, which may be viewed at: http://www.acadian.org/rootsweb.com For your future reference, I would recommend you print-out a copy of this message and in the event you are required to make changes to your subscription, here's a reminder of what you need to do: 1. TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THE LIST: First you need to determine if you are subscribed to the "L" (List) mode, or the "D" (Digest mode). If you are receiving _individual_ messages from the List, then you are subscribed to the "L" mode. If you receive messages in packets (of 10 to 20 messages), then you are subscribed to the "D" mode. a) To unsubscribe from the "L" mode, merely send a message to: TRAHAN-L-request@rootsweb.com ... with the single word UNSUBSCRIBE in the body of your message (do not include any signature). b) To unsubscribe from the "D" mode, merely send a message to: TRAHAN-D-request@rootsweb.com ... with the single word UNSUBSCRIBE in the body of your message (do not include any signature). Note 1: If you have done it correctly, you will receive a "robot" message from Rootsweb, confirming that you have been unsubscribed from the List. Note2: The word "request" in the above-noted addresses, is only used to subscribe or unsubscribe from the List. 2. TO RE-SUBSCRIBE TO THE LIST: a) To re-subscribe to the "L" mode, merely send a message to: TRAHAN-L-request@rootsweb.com ... with the single word SUBSCRIBE in the body of your message (do not include any signature). b) To re-subscribe to the "D" mode, merely send a message to: TRAHAN-D-request@rootsweb.com ... with the single word SUBSCRIBE in the body of your message (do not include any signature). Note 1: If you have done it correctly, you will receive a "robot" message from Rootsweb, confirming that you have been re-subscribed to the List. Note2: The word "request" in the above-noted addresses, is only used to subscribe or unsubscribe from the List. 3. TO CHANGE YOUR SUBSCRIPTION MODE: Use the above-noted instructions to UNSUBSCRIBE from your present mode, and the similar instructions to re-SUBSCRIBE to the new mode. 4. TO SEND MESSAGES TO THE LIST: You can only post messages to the List, if you are properly subscribed... and your message cannot exceed 20 K bytes, nor can it include any attachments. To post a message to the Mailing List, merely send it to: TRAHAN-L@rootsweb.com Note 1: Your message will be posted to BOTH the "L" and "D" modes for everyone to see. Note 2: The word "request" is NOT used in the address (it is only included to subscribe or unsubscribe from/to the List).
