Mathias Trace. What I know is, he is initially in Franklin Co., Pa. in 1790(after the death of his father Conrad) and in Washington Co., Pa. in 1810. I can't find him in 1800 Census at all(prolly have to go through page after page of Pa. Census records of Franklin & Washington Co.(then again he could have been recorded under a different family name too - like staying with someone)! Of his siblings Either Mathias(Conrad's Son)or Mathias(Mathias's son)was a pioneer in 1808 of Highland or Monroe Twp., in Muskingum County, Oh. See Below: Highland Township Gleanings from Highland Township and Monroe Township, Muskingum County, Ohio Genealogical Gleanings Book put out by the Muskingum County Chapter of The Ohio Genealogical Society Traditionally settlement began here about 1808 with the arrival of one Mathias Trace, from Washington County, Pa., who took up a tract of land in section 11. There is also a Map in the book from the early 1800's showing where this tract was located I have a gedcom up on this side as well. I just don't know where my George Trace belongs. He isn't in either census records(referancing the way the numbers are). worldconnect.rootsweb.com has this gedcom the database name is icesickle2. You'll find some work I've done on it as well! Take care and feel free to pass this info onto other Crawford County and/or Trace relatives/decendants. Sincerely, Doug Trace
