James GWIN. I found the following obit from The Nashville Chrisian Advocate: Eleanor COOPER died in Mt. Pleasant, Maury Co, TN, Jan 19, 1877 aged 96 years, 5 months, a native of N.C.; born in 1780, d/o Samuel McADAMS who moved to Smith Co, TN; her sister married Rev. James GWIN and she to John COOPER. Also this: Mary SHANNON, b. Drake's Creed, Sumner Co, TN, Aug 6 1796; married (1) John GIBBS, 1815; (2) Harvey SHANNON, Jan 18, 1827; died Apr 6, 1880; she was a descendant of the McADAMS family...her mother being the wife of the Rev. James GWIN; her father was Isaac TOWELL. Can anyone reconcile all of this?
