    3. Hi Listers, I'm a new subscriber to this list and wondered if anyone on the list is connected to this Devon branch of the TOWELL family, if so I'd be pleased to hear from them? I'm particularly interested in a William Tozer TOWELL, who was born on 6 May 1856, (Bapt. 30 Jun 1855 at Topsham), who joined the Royal navy in 1872. His parents were John TOWELL (born c.1820 at Topsham) and Fanny TOWELL nee MITCHELL (born c.1825 at Bridport). Elder siblings I know of, all bpt. Topsham, were James 1845; Charlotte 1847; Samuel 1851; John 1853 (and possibly twins, Joseph and Elizabeth 1849). Best wishes Brian

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/QcSBAIB/44.45.1.1 Message Board Post: I think we did talk before. I am NOT researching this family. I posted my original message because I had found a photograph from farther back in the 1900's, of a dark-haired young woman - it was marked Florence Towell, and it was from a photography studio in Indiana. If you think it might be your Florence Towell, why don't you e-mail me your address and I will just mail the photo to you and then you can confirm if it is from your family.
