Initially Sarah would be nee Dewe in connection with the 1st marriage and then formerly Fowell nee Dewe in connection with the 2nd marriage. She died on June 28, 1998. I don't know where you got 1983, but she was alive and well then. I am her granddaughter. Her SON was Warren Curtis Campbell (b. 2-23-40, d. 1-24-1999). He was NOT her husband, as indicated in this record; that was Warren CALVIN Campbell (b. 4-27-01, d. 1982--the exact date escapes me). Someone please change this. My GGG Grandfather's name was James Fitzmarice Towell who immigrated from Ireland in the 1840's. He had two half-brothers who lived in New York at the time. According to my G Aunt, the Towells and the McFarlands moved to California during the civl war (I suspect to avoid the draft) and eventually, the two familys intermarried. I have a typewritten copy of James's diary (my G Aunt has the orginal), if you would like a copy, please e-mail me with your address. One of my grandfather's brothers emigrated to Australia in the 1930s but the Towell name died out, as they only had a daughter. Another of the brothers emigrated in 1910 to Canada and then onto New York. However, I'm not aware of any earlier ancestors emigrating to the States. One of my ancestors did travel to the States in 1880 to find work but returned very quickly. Maybe he had relatives there...
