She was born July 12, 1929 in Heber Springs, AR. Ina was a homemaker and an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority (53 years); the Boy and Girl Scouts; the Dona Ana Rock Hound Club; Gem Crafters and Explorers Club; Farm Bureau (board member ten years) and the First Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Women's Group. Ina enjoyed sewing, needle point, gardening, reading, cooking and taking care of her family. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John R. Tomlin (former State Representative); her children, John Timothy Tomlin, Joel Tomlin and his wife, Patricia, daughter, Jennifer Le Noir and her husband, James; grandchildren, David, Sarah, Rory, Douglas, Lauren, Ryan, Jeremy and Joshua. Other survivors include her sister, Tina; and brother-in-law, Dr. Shelby King; and nieces, Martha Goats, Karen Gera and Lucinda King. Ina was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Carwile; and sister, Alice Cli! fton. Mrs. Tomlin will lie in state, February 6, 2004 at Graham's Mortuary from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Boutz at 10:00 a.m. February 7, 2004. Burial will take place at the Masonic Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will be Mark Trujillo, Al Lopez, Steve Loman, Bill Montgomery, John Brown and Larry Harris. Flowers or donations in Ina's memory can be made to the Heifer International Foundation in care of the First Presbyterian Church, Boutz. Service arrangements are with Graham's Mortuary, 555 W. Amador, Las Cruces, NM.

My grand dad had two brothers, one I have not located nor have a first name. They came from England in the mid to late 1800s and went there seperate ways. One settled in Roundup, MT and one in Westboro, MA. There may be a connection, so I would be glad to give you the info on a defective family gene. There is a basic test for this. There was a John Michael Tomlin born about 1750 in Germany His father was Mathew Jr. Tomlin born 1707 in Germany His father was Mathew Tomlin born 1685 in germany Mathew's father may have been from England.
