I don't have much yet as I am only just starting on these names. My Great grandfather on my fathers side was a Henry Tomlin, he married an Elizabeth Frances Pipe in 1902. Elizabeth had a sisiter called Florence whom I am also related to on my mothers side. Elizabeth and Florence had other siblings called William, Ada and George. Here's the story: My gm was (Margaret) Emma TOMLIN (1875-1941), who married Arthur Lock DOUGHTY in Deptford, south London, in 1892. She had brothers, Ernest(?) Edward(?) and James (?) who went to Canada. My father said he was named after them (Ernest Edward James) They did well there and may have joined the RCMP. In the early part of the 20th century it was arranged for my father and his younger brother to go out to join them, but they got "cold feet" and stayed in England! Could this be your TOMLINs?
