What I am after is where did Rebecca live whilst in England? and I have her father Matthew but nothing else. Can anyone help? My main problem is that trees state that they lived in Pennington near Carlisle but land was given to Taylors in Pennington Hampshire. He may have spelled his last name as either Robins or Robbins. According to my grandmother, he went by the nickname Tom. He was born in Alabama according to census info, as were both of his parents -- names unknown. At some point, he and/or his family moved to Tennessee, where Tom married Amanda J Tomlin (who was born in Tennessee). She's the daughter of William Patrick Tomlin & Ollie Kite. My branch of the Tomlins were very well known for their mass migrations every 20 years or so, and so were the Robbins apparently. Tom's known siblings were Minnie, Jerusha Jane b.1874, Sim & Sarah P. b.1867. All I know about Minnie & Sim are that they were younger than the other siblings I have dates for.
